Has anyone else had fun with these?

I’ve had 3 frames with different adapters on them, a Praxis BB, a KCNC BB and the standard plastic SRAM adapter with Shimano BB. It’s been merrily sat there for 2-3 years now, until I tried to swap the BB in it yesterday.

The plastic seems to have gone brittle, all the plastic threads came off the inside meaning I couldn’t get the HT2 BB out. Sadly it’s so narrow in there I couldn’t get any sort of drift in there to push it out, I tried my headset remover but it would just pop out the other side. I ended up removing the bearings from the HT2 BB and then use a hacksaw blade to cut through the aluminium shell of it, so I could loosen it to pull out. After getting one side out it’s obviously just a job of knocking the other one out from inside.

    Never again.

I slated the KCNC one when I got it, it’s lasted a good while though.
