I’ve got some Shimano AM45 SPD shoes, which despite working nicely with M424 pedals, don’t play nice with M545s 🙁

The cleat area seems too deep into the sole.

Looks like I need some sort of spacer to raise the cleat?

    Does such thing exist?

as long as the bolts are long enough and you can tighten them sufficiently, could you not just use washers or similar?

I have some spacers from Crank Brothers pedals. They are pretty thin but might just do the trick.

I used some plastic milk bottle cut up, but it wore through quite quickly, find something harder and anything will do-coke can?

The bolts seem to have enough length – might try the washer trick.

druidh – if the above doesn’t work, I might be interested in those spacers.

Whathaveisaidnow – thanks for the offer too

The CB cleats also come with two sets of bolts – long and short 🙂
