Considering purchasing a new pair of SPDs to replace the pair kindly donated by a fellow STW user back in my SPD trial period (Cheers John ).

Narowed it down to either Shimano M085 or the M075. In a strange way i also like the rather sickly coloured M086 too. What do users of these shoes think? I have a realitvaly wide foot so whats the STW thoughts of sizing of these shoes? Cheers in advance

Oh incase this influences your suggestions there are no shops local to try shoes on and appologies for the mass of typos above

    Depends
The MO75 is a good recreational shoe. You can walk in it easily. Mesh top so foot gets very wet(without sealskinz) in the winter. Mine were pretty worn after 10 months but I had been using them 4 times a week
The M076 is a bit more substantial
The silver M085 is a better shoe but you need to be able to live with the silver(similar for the M086)
I went for the M182 and very pleased. Far stiffer sole, plenty of traction and a bit more all weather

specialised taho? Wide, comfy, reasonably waterproof and you don’t look quite so daft in the pub wearing them.

Wearing the cycling gear in the pub isnt really an issue. isn’t half as bad as some the tracksuit clad numpties in the pubs by me!

If you have wide feet, you would be best trying Specialized first. Shimano shoes tend to come up a bit "neat". Another vote for the Tahoes.
