Did yesterday, and a couple of days before that, and a couple of days before that, and… getting sick of the sight of the stuff now.

Went out for a couple of hours this morning when it was still chucking it down 🙂
this is heavens gate @ longleat
Posted 8 years agoWork, coffee and biscuits have been keeping me entertained today, will be making up for it in the morning.
Assuming the 4″ of snow we’ve had is going nowhere for now…
Posted 8 years agoCame the fun way home across Cannock Chase this afternoon. Loads of snow, ace fun but blummin’ hard work, I’m knackered!
Posted 8 years agoTomorrow, bike out with knobbly mud tyres on. Couldn’t do today, was driving home from working week away. That was entertaining enough in a rear wheel drive automatic.
Best thing about the snow is dumping the car and playing on the bike, although it does encourage those special looks from the neighbours and local townsfolk.
Posted 8 years agoWest Wales. First ever snow ride! Hard work!!
Posted 8 years agohad a blast around the local fields today, with the GF’s son in tow. Lots of fun seeing how far I could lean it over in the snow.
Posted 8 years agoOff out at 8pm so batteries charging and just starting to layer up.

Three hours before the off ? 😆
Posted 8 years agoYou snow bikers have my utmost respect. I just did’nt fancy the 3 mile slog to the Chase to ride a trail I could’nt see. Spent the day in the pub with the Mrs on the mulled wine instead.
As I said..respec…innit.

Posted 8 years agoYep 8miles into the office in proper deep snow on my Langster with 700×24 halo twin rails, make for a most amusing (and mostly sideways) ride still grinning now after the return journey home……
Posted 8 years agoklein, what time was that this morning?! i think i must have followed some of your tracks as followed a few through cannimore woods and heavens gate. Had a few off’s in them woods 🙄

Dead jealous of the amount of snowfall in everyone’s pics, Keswick hasn’t seen any snow below about 200m 🙁

Rode out on fast icy trails for an hour or 2 this am, then came back into the wind and snow.. hard going and suprisingly arctic on the hill tops with snow coming in at near 90 degrees and powder blowing along the ground. Tundra-epic )Extremely cross!
Rode in in cold, expecting amusing sideways ride back on Thorn Raven with knobblies. Went to get bike at 4 [drivers all wanted to leave early] only to discover:
1) The warehouse heater had burst my rear tyre
2) I had forgotten to pack a spare tube
3) The glue in the puncture kit had gone offresult:

1) Accepted lift back in van, unbelievably cross.
2) Dropped off at Halfords – purchased 3 innertubes [£8.99 to fit?!?! No thanks!]
3)Rode around mostly sideways for 1 hour
4)Returned home, drank a beer and took the rabbits out on leads in the snow 🙂

Knackered and only two off’s 🙂Went out 7 miles in the pouring rain..Had an issue with worn brake pads and ended up in a hedge..Cut ride short then and went home.
No rear brake would have been no fun.
Will pick up some new pads tommorow
