I am happy with the condition but it stinks really badly of smoke. I’ve given it a wash which hasn’t really helped. Has anyone got any suggestions.?Thanks Rich Posted 5 years ago theredMemberWashed the pads? The smoke’s got into the plastic so it needs something to overpower that or it needs airing for o looooooong time Posted 5 years ago havinalaffMemberIt’s an ultra light jobby. pads are minimal, smell is in polystyrene. I not sure what can use on it without affecting strength. Febreze? Posted 5 years ago bigblackshedSubscriberMatron………. 😯 Posted 5 years ago robhughesMemberYou should bath more often… 😆 Posted 5 years ago njee20SubscriberSend it back if not mentioned in the ad, that’s rank…Edit: although it was only £20. Hmmm. Posted 5 years ago OnzadogSubscriberMine is about to go in a bucket of halo sports wash but that just smells of mud and sweat. Posted 5 years ago reedspeedMemberDrop it in milton fluid for a few mins, then rinse, then thoroughly dry it, then fabreez, then deoderant,if that dosnt cure it,binnit !!! 😕 Posted 5 years ago enfhtMemberI don’t clean my helmet often enough which gives me v-shaped burn marks on my forehead.“Hey what are those marks on your forehead”?“Oh, that’s just my salty helmet” 8) Posted 5 years ago havinalaffMemberIt is a bit rank. If it hadn’t have been cheap I would have moaned about it.Milton is essentially weak bleach is that ok on polystyrene? Posted 5 years ago sillyoldmanSubscriberGiro recommend nothing more than mild soap. Posted 5 years ago althepalSubscriberOn topic, my straps are quite stinky but aren’t detachable.. Similar solution with Milton or washing power? I can pull them thru to stick out one side so just do one side at a time maybe? Posted 5 years ago boltonjonMemberBring it into the shower with you – give it a good scrub – especially the straps – works for me Posted 5 years ago Viewing 13 posts - 1 through 13 (of 13 total)The topic ‘Smelly helmet.’ is closed to new replies.
