Small 14-15 inch bike frame

Hello, Mrs J wants to start cycling. I have plenty of bits to build up a bike for her apart from a suitably sized frame. I don’t want to spend lots of money as I suspect this will be short lived, so really looking at sub £100 aluminium maybe steel. I’ve looked around the usual websites but can’t find anything so if anyone comes across something I’d be grateful if you could let me know.

EBay, there is a fair turnaround on them used from what I remember.

Have a look an eBay for a complete bike with a half decent frame then sell the parts.

I’ve a cove stiffee 15 inch that is on the classifies for that sort of money

If you can stretch to £150, my girlfriend is looking to sell her 15″ Rocky Mountain Element LO.

CRC use to sell X-Brand frames at that price.

How tall is mrs_andrewJ ?
Mrs_oab is 5′ precisely. She rides a weeny Cannondale F900SL. Super-duper light, narrow bars, skinny grips etc. She won’t be parted from it, so much better than her older bikes (Frame shape, forks that move and light weight)
Get your wife to ride a few and try out – geometry and fit is king.
This was £225 from STW classifieds.

Our lads also have some similar sized little bikes – they are all now 4’9 / 4’11 ish. Noticeably shorter TT, and all heavier.
