I would say you’re the winner but the pedals and grips are colour coordinated.
Maybe change the left pedal to orange and get green grips?

Road bikes keep coming and going, but this has been my only mtb since it was built up in 2008

Given the tools I find myself wondering wtf you were about to do to it? 😆

quite surprised how many are single rings up front. And I’m sure it’s just me, but I do think it looks weird to have a huge wide diameter cassette that’s same or wider dia than the front ring/s 🙂

    2 x 10 old school for me 🙂

On that pic they are 130mm Fox forks, an experiment that didn’t really work if I’m honest. Good forks but not on a frame that was likely designed around 63mm…. it’s a 1996 frame.
I have 100mm Rebas on there now which work ok

    2010 Boardman Hardtail.
Bit of a triggers broom as about the only original parts left are the frame, seat post and rear mech.

would quite like to get something new and shiny but this only does a couple of hundred miles a year so can’t justify the outlay.
It might be going 1×10 soon though, as most of the drivetrain now shagged.

Here are my two, first is a Cotic Soul and my retro Kona Pahoehoe. a friend and I were just chatting at the weekend saying how we both just enjoy our bikes and will be keeping them a while yet.

There are some great bikes on this thread – especially the yeti sb66, and seems everyone is still enjoying riding them!

They’ll have to prise my SB66 from my cold, dead hands.

Yeah thought they looked long. I’m rebuilding a Pantera from around that age and planning on 100mm. Just looking for an a2z adapter so I can run disks front and rear. Probs a 70mm stem and a 3×10 Deore groups.

Most of ours are 26″ and until recently they all were, how ever from Friday I will be on a 650b. Our daughter Katie had a back operation a few years ago and has just started to get back into riding. She has never felt right on her bike since the operation and so after a few experiments it looks like she is going to have my bike, going from a small to medium frame, and her old one split and sold on.

Mine. Can’t remember what it is, they’re not very common. Running 160 Devilles and offset bushings. Going to get a slackset for it as well as I simply can’t be faffed changing it for the same thing with marginally bigger wheels.
