    I'm doing a race there this weekend and haven't been for a few years, seem to recall slightly sandy, peaty soil or fire roads. Tyre options are: swalbe 1.3 cyclocross tyres, maxis medusa (1.8 mud tyres), michelin xc 2.1's, or swalbe nobby nics. I want something fast and light but will be on hard tail so not sure about skinny tyres for 4 hour race.

    Any regular riders got any suggestions?

    Nobby Nics were shit round there last time I was there, although it was mildly moist at the time.
