Put 3 holes in my rear Snakeskin nobby nik now.
Whilst I like the them it’s the carcass around the nobbs that doesn’t appear to be strong enough (for Rocky terrain anyhow)
I notice they also do a double defense version which is still much lighter than swapping to a HD gravity or something exo from maxxis.

Anyone tried the dd version or should I just go back to maxxis on the rear (peaks riding )

DD stopped me getting loads of punctures on a Ralph. Has much more protection under the tread whereas snakeskin is more about the sidewalls.

Good against thorns, not sure how much better it will be on rocks.

I bought a pair recently thinking they were snakeskin but they were liteskin and much thinner and lighter than normal. They’ve been OK so far but I wouldn’t buy them again.

Are you sure yours are snakeskin versions?
