how come there bikes , apart from the downhill bikes, never have a bolt throu rear axle ? I was told by a shop that they are stiff enough with a normal qr , is this true ? was thinking of a Heckler !

They claim that they’ve never been able so see any difference in stiffness on their frames in testing.

Mind you, they also claimed there was no advantage to using a longer shock on the V10. About a year before that longer shock suddenly appeared on the V10.
