Contempomi was miles offside.

can never understand why players take drop goals when they have a pen advantage its such a negative bit of play. Argentina rolled the dice with Contempomi taking the defence on and it payed off.

Though (perhaps sounding slightly contrary to my belief that Argentina deserved the win!), Argentina didn’t take their points either, and didn’t look like troubling the line, bar that superb individual effort. I would have like it if Scotland had pushed for a try instead of taking the drop goal when given the penalty.

It does set up the Scotland / England clash well.

Not a great deal to chose between the teams bar Ashton and Foden IMO – so for Scotland it will all depend on bossing the breakdown and swarming the midfield to stave Ashton and Foden of the ball

Or to phrase it another way, Scotland lost the game earlier when their ‘awesome’ backs were totally unable to construct anything other than short individual breaks.

Both teams played the whole game looking for kickable penalties rather than trying to win the game by scoring points. A really poor advert for the game.
