    Hi.

As recommended here, got a full day tour booked for Monday with finalefreeride.

Want to do a bit of riding tomorrow with one kid but don’t want him freaked.

Where does rollercoaster fit in terms of gnarliness on the following scale.

    Canal oath

    Llandegla green

    Llandegla blue

    Glentress blue

    Llandegla red

    Glentress red

    Llandegla black

    Wolftrax red

    Innerliethen xc route

    Wolftrax black

On the day my son’s reasonably competent, but not that confident. Don’t want him getting spooked and putting his little brother off the day trip on Monday.

    Golspie black

    Very bike trail in tignes

    La 8 in Les arcs

    Chalamain gap

    The La Thule blacks.

    Hi Mike. Many thanks

Was planning to get a single shuttle up.

If we do that are we likely to be able to pick up random shuttles during the day.

    Greenhorn.

    No idea how it works

Not sure on the random ones think they go to a schedule but worth asking the shop thsley run from.

Also download Trailforks and Italy to make route finding a bit easier

Interesting post was wondering the same thing with shuttles how do they work there? Thinking of heading there in March by myself as I have a week free but no one else to ride with.

Was going to be dossing in my van. Any recemondations?

    Ffati.

No idea if it’s still the case but last time I was here 20 years ago there was a free campsite in the hills by the pizzeria. Below Monte cucco I think

Shower water and toilets. I’ll search for more details when I get home.

When i was there last November it was 10 euros a shuttle and i think it left at 10.  He did say that they would run a shuttle for minimum 3 people if we just turned up mid morning or afternoon.

Rollercoaster is for the most part pretty easy going.  Couple of little rock gardens but nothing hard.  Think laggan red i guess, not as hard as the black.

    Enjoy, i am jealous!

Place looks amazing how many runs can you fit in a day? Info about van dissing would be good. Full face or full enduro half kid and goggles

We were topping out about 6ish in a day which was a lot of lot of riding especially if you mix it up a bit, some stuff is faster to lap. Group of mates was a good way and we used Bobby Bertone who sorted out lifts, guiding and a pedal day and mixed up what we were after which is good.

LId is personal preference though check out with some locals whats likely to be rideable in March and how the weather will be

Stuck in work and dreaming of biking at the moment  would be good to find out how you get on

Rollercoaster was good. We were both quite nervous so didn’t absolutely love it, but objectively speaking it must be one of the best tracks in the world if you like that sort of thing. Would love to go back for another go. Unbelievably up down round ribbon of dried mud. With occasional rocky gardens. Awesome.

We then went back up the road a bit and then across to Cacciatore. The trail map and Google disagreed on the direction. Looking at Strava appears to show we went down kill bill instead. The youth pushed various sections. But also cleaned some tricky bits.

Then pizza and some xc loop in the afternoon which turned out longer than planned as I dropped my wallet and had to repeat a section.

Navigation was silly. Combination of Google maps and the guidebook

Need to get Trailforx or Gpx or whatever the kids use these days.

Finale freeride tomorrow. Hope the little kid is on form…..

Yep get Trailforks drops a nice pin on the map and will nav you to the next trail. It was also fairly up to date on closures.
