Have you heard of riser drop handlebars? I’ve seen the specialised hover but they’re out of stock, and I can’t find any other manufacturer who does a similar thing that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. Is anyone aware of such a thing?

Just get a deeper drop bar and mount it higher.

The specialized hover is what came to my mind too (only discovered them after I built my bike, but didn’t need them, in the end)

Give these guys a ring, to see what stock they have…

Can’t you achieve the same effect with the right stem?

Don’t you run the risk of looking utterly ridiculous with those bars though?

You ride a bike. To a swathe of (UK) society this puts you beyond ‘ridiculous’.

    Fashion is a fool.

I tried that but I don’t like the look of the high rise stem. I will keep looking.

    Initially created for aero no?

Odd concept otherwise to me…Each to their own of course

They are horrific tbh but sometimes just a necessary evil

Got to admit I’m interested too, but purely from a form over function point of view, in my head they would look better than an extra 15mm of spacers or a more angled stem.

Need to go tyre kicking in some bike shops to see them in the flesh I think 8)

    Not much chance

Everywhere looks out of stock, at least in the 44. You could probably find a narrower version.

Not sure if anyone is interested but I tracked one of the alloy versions in size 44 at hargrove cycles.
