I’ve just stripped a thread on the chainring bolts on my M7000 cranks so I am on the hunt for a replacement..

    I need 175mm, 34t preferably Shimano.

Boost frame, and chainring to work with 1/8″ Singlespeed chain.

Would the M7120, 12sp version work with 1/8 chain or is there something on the tooth profile that means it wouldn’t play well together?

I’ve got 12 speed Shimano XT 175mm cranks that came off my Occam when I put 165s on.

    Would they be any use?

Apologies if I’ve basically repeated your question back to you ;-)

You should be fine on a single speed chain, new chainrings are a little more expensive than 4 bolt rings but not too painful.

7120 might be boost or superboost rather than normal spacing, not sure
