I'm sure i've done this before and it came out really easy but not this time?

It had seized up in my XT mech so i took off the circlip and removed the cover and spring but the bolt is stuck fast, i've sprayed WD40 in there and there's some movement but not much, have i missed something or do i just need to get the hammer out!

Try turning it with a long allen key if you haven't got a vice to hand, sometimes it will twist out.

I've aquired quite a few mechs over the years that were being chucked away because of this. As has been mentioned, vice and socket to remove the bolt, scrape the rubbish of the bush, a bit of sanding, regrease and asssemble. Hey presto, one fully functioning mech.

The biggest problem I have is the price of replacement jockey wheels. 😯
