Got red leather on my graphite grey MiTo – I love it and so does everyone else who’s seen it.

I don’t really think you have the complexion TBH.

On a classic car – maybe. On a new one – no.

Yes – so long as the car isn’t red

My dad had a Nuvola blue 166 with cream leather (v6 too) that car was the shizzle:)

Yes yes yes. Should be mandatory on an Alpha. You not got the Volvo yet then?

    Consider that a blessing.

Of course. Unless it’s a red car then black or cream. Tan is nice too.

Yes, but I prefer cream leather personally. Alfas are one of the few cars where you can get away with that sort of thing IMO

If it’s black or grey then oh god yes, it just makes it look sooooo lovely.

I drove it today, everything everyone said it would be and I liked it. Then I came home and saw a cheaper but slighter older 159 Sportwagon JTDM black with red leather interior. Almost seems rude not too…

    At 98k miles and £5k

    Vs

The latter has 115k miles but changed cam belt, DMF and clutch., no roof rails £4.5k

    *not actual cars

The red leather looks fantastic in a black Alfa – it’s like that was how it was meant to be.

Got to be the Alfa.. I love 159’s, and yes red leather is definitely acceptable in Italian cars.

Nice Alfa, almost bought one myself a few years ago… Black leather tho’

Think it’s way better than the Volvo, if it’s got the heated seats then watch you don’t knock the stupidly placed on/off temp switch which is placed on the bottom of the seat pan near the door sill.. 🙄

Yes. But you got to sell your car cheap when you want to get rid of it in future … 😀

Black Alfa then yes. Any other colour its black. Tan might work nice though.

If not red on the outside, then definitely. Had red leather in my Eos and it was worth every penny.

I had a red 156 sportwagon with cream leather. Very stylish.

Yes! Absolutely. Feed it now and again and it wears well too. I’ve done well over 100k in red leathered Alfa and its a nice place to spend time.

    Yes

My silver 156 has red leather and (I think) it looks lovely. When people get in it for the first time they often go “Ooooo nice in here innit”

This is a question that doesn’t need to be asked. Same with the tan leather. Grey leather Alfa owners should be slapped.

    Blue paint/tan leather = 😀

    Red paint/tan leather = 😀

Dark Grey paint/red = oh baby.

or you could get black with tan hide and be able to actually sell it when the time comes

If the Alfa is silver or any dark colour then yes, red leather is acceptable.

If the Alfa is red then either black, beige or cream leather is in order.

Thats what a dark grey/black boot and a thick off-cut of carpet is for.

@ the Alfa-ists on his thread; what do I need to look for an a 159? From scanning the Alfa forum ive pick up: more than surface rust on the lower front sub frame; electrical issues (will test everything), power steering fluid needs to be green not orange or the other way around.

I gather the fact that the one I’m looking at has Cambelt, DMF and clutch changed is a good thing despite the 115k miles on the engine (I’ll only put max 20k miles on it for the period I want it)?
