Non-MTB I’m afraid, but I’ve built myself some wheels for my track bike:

Dura Ace high flange track hubs
    DT Swiss AeroLite spokes
    New-Old-Stock Wolber Profil 20 rims

This is about the 6th set of whgeels I’ve built. All my others are pretty true and still running nicely after varying amount sof abuse, but I have to hold my hands up and concede that my wheelbuilding skills aren’t good enough here.

Because the rims are slightly old technology – magnesium alloy and a pinned (rather than welded) joint, I can’t remove a couple of little flat spots – especially by the joint. Wouldn’t be an issue on any of my MTB’s, but with a 22mm tubular tyre running at 120psi, every little imperfection results in a battered backside!

So, I need a recommendation of a really good wheelbuilder in the St Albans / Hertfordshire area – preferably someone with a couple of decades experience.

    All suggestions appreciated.
