was just tinkering with the forks today, thinking of slowing the rebound down a notch or two, the clicks appear to be working fine, but when i then pushed down on the forks nothing changed, i wound it in to the slowest and again it didnt slow down, put on full speed obviously the same…..

so whats happened there then? i genuinely cant say ive noticed any performance problems, as the forks are buttery smooth still, does that super slow setting on lowest go over time?

any ideas? FIT cartridge 32′ RL’s by the way

Something on the rebound circuit appears to have jammed, come loose or broken would need to have a look at the cartridge to diagnose the exact problem.
The new FIT carts. are pretty reliable and there would a marked difference between full fast and full slow settings.

    cheers loco 🙂

i never noticed it to be honest with the damping as i always set and forget my rebound, could i have just not put enough oil in or some trapped air etc, …is it something i could have done myself when i serviced them?

just before having the mare of sending them any other thoughts i could try?

Not really it’s a sealed unit so it’ll be an internal issue that would need a full strip and inspection.

cheers loco, will it be damaging the damper just leaving it? will this be a warranty job do you reckon? cant remeber them not working after the service i did not so long ago, but if you say its internal theres not a lot i could have done wrong

Nothing you could have done wrong other than jam/force the adjuster against the stop possibly damaging the adjuster rod.
The damper unit was fitted as supplied by Fox so hasn’t been opened since it was assembled.
Can pop it in for a warranty inspection 😀

    FIXEEEED!

OOOOOOpppps! well turns out the grub screw that makes the rod turn was loose and not engaging! gettttt in! an easy fix and full clicks avaialable and slowest setting makes forks really slow to return, so is working perfectly! phewwwwyyyy! sorted!!!!
