For me, it’s my definition of a favourite film. Would I happily rewatch it if anyone said “hey, shall we watch…?” despite having seen it countless times / recently.
As per the other thread, I used to but not anymore. I’ve seen The Big Lebowski, Apocalypse Now and Weekend at Bernie’s more times than I care to remember. OI’d sit and watch them if they were on, but wouldn’t actively seek them out.
In my teens I pretty much knew all the dialogue from every scene in Robocop and Point Break 😳
Loads, but Predator is a cert, soon as it comes on I can’t not watch. And First Blood.
Lately though most superhero films are all multiwatchable, I enjoy the brain off aspect as quite often I can’t be bothered with anything too cerebral.
Pulp Fiction. I’ll watch it whenever it’s on. I’ve got it on DVD and Blueray. But I’ll still watch it on TV if it’s on. If I catch it part way through I’ll have to watch it to the end.
Others I’ll watch repeatedly in no particular order:
Some films need rewatching to catch stuff you didnt quite get the first time (fight club, inception etc) Watched star wars that many times as a wee kid off a home recorded betamax that i wore the tape out
Quite a other, especially now on demand streaming is with us, cold and dark here now for winter and I’ve been watching some marvel stuff just to chill out to.
The big lebowski
Under the skin
Withnail and I
Interstellar
Dazed and confused
Dogtown and z-boys
In the loop
Moon
Apocalypse now
Deer hunter
Pulp fiction
Reservoir dogs
Ex machina
The only films I’ve bought and can quite happily watch again n’ again
Big Lebowski, Star Wars, Aliens, Bladerunner. And VAST and Seasons I suppose. Ooh and Strange Days. It’s still weird and compelling.
And every so often I get the music from Gladiator stuck in my head and eventually I have to watch the entire bloody film. Could be worse.
I suppose, highest accolade is seeing things twice or more in the cinema. All the original star wars films + force awakens, Bladerunner, Jurassic Park- and South Park!
Our Tivo’s got a lot of stuff there just for those “too tired to think but want something to keep the eyes entertained” evenings – Bourne, Bond, Pirates Of The Caribbean, The Raid (more me than Mrs Pondo). My guilty secret is Happy Gilmore. 🙂
Oh Brother Where Art Thou? Went to see it again the next night aware that I’d missed stuff because I’d still been laughing at the previous line. Should probably watch it again.
Seen Deadpool 3 times
rewatched Guardians of the Galaxy the other night
The Shining – will watch any time
One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest – see it a few times and going to the cinema tomorrow to see it 🙂
Near Dark & Miami Blues cos they’re both fab.
Pulp Fiction
Debbie Does Dallas
When I was a kid I’d watch films over and over. Must have seen Goonies and the Karate Kid 50+ times. The Matrix got some hammer when I get that too.
These days I’ll rewatch something if it’s on, or if there’s a sequel coming out or if we’re just having a binge. I’ve watched most of the Avengers films more than once.
We want the finest wines available to humanity, we want them here and we want them now.
That’s right we’ll buy this place and install a **** jukebox to liven all you stiffs up a bit.

I don’t as a rule, and is why I never got people collecting DVD’s
Opposite for me and I never get why people will only watch new films. Must suck as 99% of everything released after 2010 is utter garbage (made up stat 😉 ), not to mention a remake of everything that has ever been and probably a remake of the same film remade 5 years earlier.
As a result of this thread I am watching The Big Leweboski (or O Grande Lewbowski as it is on netflix for some reason) white russian in hand 8) (not j though unfortunately…)
