MegaSack DRAW - This year's winner is user - rgwb
We will be in touch
I will be arriving in Inners tomorrow late afternoon and hopefully will have time for a quick ride and get back to have food in the pub with the family.
Which is the quicker route GT red or Inners Red?
It doesn't matter. They're both great trails.
I don't think there's much in it in terms of time.
Agreed, not much in it.
GT red probably a smidge shorter and also has more options for short-cutting if you are short of time.
I always tend to think the GT red is a bit shorter and easier than Inners but possibly once you factor in the drive to/from GT then it's much the same.
NB: if you do not like all your climbing to be in one big lump at the start then GT red is the one as the climbing at Inners is _all_ at the start.
Inners is also, for me, the more natural feeling of the two.
Aye, GT is the king of pick-and-mix- also easy to add bits to if you end up with 10 minutes spare.
Innerleithen red takes me less time to get around though- there's surprisingly little to it tbh, I always wonder where the altitude went.
You arrive in Inners?
ride Inners.
Inners is a blast, take your wings
Ride Innerleithen. Strava KOM time is 55mins. Good luck!
Oh. The other thing I'd say is that if you've not done either before, I reckon you should do GT- it's a much more approachable ride, excellent sightlines etc and other than the jumpy bits much less pace dependant. Innerleithen's great but I reckon you won't get the best out of it on a first, rushed, blind lap.
IMO of course
Cheers For the info everyone.
Arrived in inners earlier than expected and did the red @ inners.
Pity I was 35 mins over the Strava time. Though I dont use strava,It was advertising where I live a bit to much.
