Whilst sat here avoiding work that needs to be done, I was wondering what my single greatest act of procrastination has been.

I guess not making an honest woman of the mother of my children until the second one was on the way is probably top of my list.

Care to share your amusing tales of concerted not-getting-on-with-it?

    No rush.

EDIT: Hours spent on STW don’t count.

A friend was getting married and his fiancée knew of his lack of ability to get anything done, she gave him but one job – to pay the deposit on the wedding venue.
Tired of her asking him if he had booked it yet he announced “yeah I have done” and promptly forgot all about it.
Suffice to say they didn’t get married.

There was the time that my wife came in and found me sitting in front of the fire, crying my eyes out.

    “What’s the matter?” she said.

    I replied…..”I’m burning!”

I’ve not had a pay point increase for 3 years. My boss has been pestering me for the last two years to hand the forms in.

Surely that’s just laziness rather than procrastination?

    Indeed. It should be…

When we bought our house the first thing that had to change was the bright red bedroom. Couldn’t possibly live with that. A mere 6 years later and its done. Spare bedroom next.

In my defence I have extended and built and fitted a new kitchen as well, though

It took me 11 years from beginning to strip my Hall to getting it finished. 😉
