Looking at bikes and it seems plenty now come with press fit Bb. Drifting out and pressing in seems like a chore likely to damage the frame if done every 6 months like ht2. Is it possible to buy a hope style bb where you can just press in the cups and use replaceable cartridge bearings. Want one designed to do that not one you can bodge like shimano ht2.

Why not use a BB with plastic cups, so you don’t damage the frame?

I think KCNC may be replaceable bearings but I’ve never tried.

Why is it more of a faf to replace shimano bearings than anything else, the same opperation isn’t it pull old bearings out press new ones in.
