So last Monday I went to bed feeling like I had trapped wind, just below my rib cage and my gut was swollen. Stayed with me until Wednesday afternoon where I suddenly got very hot and felt sick. Appetite wasn’t affected.
Wednesday evening started burping up plenty of wind but felt uncomfortable – gut, lower back and shoulders – eventually the burping changed to being sick.
Since Wednesday I’ve eaten very little, had no appetite but had serious wind every evening.
I’ve lost 3kg (only another 10 to go please!), my resting heart rate has dropped to 48 overnight and my hrv is up to 48 (and on the upper edge of in range) – weight, heart and hrv all from Garmin.
Still no appetite and not hungry but I’m sure I need to eat. Currently my stomach is making noises like wind is moving.
Toilet functions are all good and my burping and farting appear decent as well.
I don’t feel sick, no energy (but I’m not eating), I’m sleeping reasonably well (when not getting up to walk to bathroom to shift more wind).
Anyone else experiencing this? If so, what have you done to fix it?

You’ve not bothered to talk to a doctor?

Not yet…apart from the discomfort of the trapped wind, nothing else is sore or uncomfy.
I’m planning on making an appointment today with the doctor to have it checked, but haven’t done it yet – Thursday and Friday was spent sleeping as I didn’t sleep during the night.

NHS 111 as a matter of urgency, I think.

Have you done watersport recently? Both leptospirosis (carried by rats/mice) and guardia have similar symptoms of gas and illness. Plenty of other things it could be, and all need professional attention to confirm. With that amount of sudden weight loss I would def call 111 or get a docs appointment.

Ahem, I wouldn’t be relying on Dr Google for a self diagnosis. I think you can trust me on that one.

Phone the NHS helpline in the first instance and then get an appointment with your GP, just to be on the safe side.

Then you can let your mates know that your okay.
