    Standard MTB threads are 9/16″. A lot of BMX threads are (or certainly were) 1/2″.

    Not sure about roadies but I think they are 9/16″ too.

    mtb are 9/16 UNC -20 tpi – left and right threads .

    old bmx and kids bike are 1/2 UNC – 20 TPI left and right threads.
