I need to buy a portable PA/speaker system for the parkrun I manage. The requirements are relatively specific and I hope someone can help. Needs are:
Battery powered/rechargeable. We have access to plugs to charge it but where it’ll be used there is no power available.
Reasonably loud. We get 250 ish people stood outside and currently use a loudhailer/megaphone, it’s not cutting the mustard as we increase numbers.
Not huge. This is proving the main challenge, we haven’t got the storage space for a big PA systems, anything bigger than maybe 50cm square is going to be a struggle.
I don’t know what power we need but instinct suggests 50w as an absolute minimum.
I spotted this on amazon but am not convinced.

Would a loudhailer not suit you better?

Behringer make what you're after as an all in one battery powered unit, although id say get a 250W/12" speaker as a minimum. 50w wont be heard over people talking.

Possibly if it was a very powerful one but the one we currently use is not good enough.

Had one of these but the 15" version, battery lasted 6 hours or so, volume and mics good.

My sound engineer mate always recommends buying from Thomann
