Hey i have a ~2003 Rockhopper that was specced for 80mm forks but i am running 100mm Rebas on it, initially it screwed up the steering but that was solved by dropping down to a 50mm stem and it is now at least as if not more nippy than it was with 80’s…

My question is will running the 100’s compromise the frame integrity in any major way?

    Cheers,

No,I was told by a guy from GT many years ago that 20 -30mm longer forks would’t be a problem on most bikes.

Nope, I run 130mm forks on a Stumpjumper HT from 2001 with no problem.
