Has he played his last match at Anfield? Where is he off to tomorrow?

Hmm, I don't get Benitez sometimes. He makes some strange decisions, like the one on Wednesday night.

Keane is a pretty dominant sort of player. I don't think he's the right sort of player to work alongside Gerrard, tbh. That's possibly what's been behind his lack of scoring, not a dip in form.

It would be unwise to get rid of a proven goalscorer, at this stage of the season. But I reckon Keane's temperament has possibly led to conflict with Benitez and Gerrard, which is never going to go well for him. TBH, Benitez should have had him starting a load more games. Why spend £20million, to leave him on the bench? Not like we have Robinho, Drogba and Anelka in the squad as well, is it?

Liverpool have been dropping points because they have not been banging in the goals (or getting dubious penalties.. ahem), and not killing games off. Wigan, ffs; that should have been 3 points, as should have Everton, Stoke, Hull, etc.

Solution? Shouldn't be having the problem in the first place. Bring back Peter Crouch....

Being a Villa fan I'm looking forward to todays game, an entertaining 0-0 would suit me

Ah, Villa.

There was talk of Heksy returning to Anfield. What happens? Villa buy him for £3million (bargain), and what does he do? Score on his debut. Sometimes, it's about having the solid and dependable, over the spectacular. So, no bid in for Amir Zaki? Tsk...

I think one of the biggest problems at Liverpool, is that Benitez does not have enough say in transfers, something he's trying to negotiate. You don't see the Hairdryer having to argue with his bosses, over transfers, and this situation is why Moanhinho left Cheatski; he wanted control over transfers, and wasn't getting it.

Benitez needs to be able to buy in the players he needs, not the ones the board decide they want.

looks like benitez new contract has given him exclusive say on transfers, all he's got to do is sign it now.

I'll be happy when Keane goes - he's not lived up to expectation at all, and £20m was a lot of money for someone that should be banging them in, regardless of the time he's spent on the pitch thus far.

I wouldn't be at all surprised to see keane back at spurs tomorrow, with Lennon and possibly bent coming up to Liverpool - I'd take both of them, Lennon as a sub to replace the "not lived up to the price tag" babel and inject pace when riera's tired, and bent cos he is actually a goal scorer - he'll pop more in than keane.

He is probably on his way back to spurs with Aaron Lennon plus a few million going in the other direction. If that happens then it sounds like a good bit of business to me. Would tie in with Pennant being sent out on loan too.

Now that might very well be a good bit of business. Lennon is a good player, with a bright future.

I reckon the transfer thing is going to be a bit hectic over the next 24 hours...

Mind, look on the bright side; how much did Jo cost Man Shitty? 😆

S'official; Keane has returned to Spuds.

Now, we've got one striker less, and don't seem to have lined up a replacement...

We still have Torres, Babel, Kuyt, Ngog, Nemeth. It aint all that bad.

Plus there is a rumour that a rather large spanish club are releasing one of their argentinian strikers...

Oh there's all sorts of rumours, but bugger all actually happening. Looks like Zenit St.P are giving Arse the run around over Arseshaving, which is quite funny.
