It’s my mums birthday on Christmas day so we have a party in the evening as well, usually goes on into the small hours.

Big breakfast on Boxing day and start again…..

I think Christmas is an utterly wonderful time. It means that I can avoid my family and friends without any guilt. I’ll try to help a group of people that are a lot worse off than I’ll ever be (hopefully), have an enjoyable and safe time away from their usual incredibly difficult lives. I’ll avoid the materialistic nonsense and fakery, the consumerism, the family rows and the disappointment of not getting what we really wanted. I will get to give my time without expecting anything whatsoever back in return. I’m really looking forward to Christmas again and as such, I’m as giddy as a giddy thing!!!!

For some people that’s a quarter to a third of their life devoted to being a seasonal prick.
