The coffee grinds from a caffittiere, down the drain or in the bin.

I have been stuck in a serviced apartment instead of a hotel and the caffittiere still has the stuff left in from the morning. Looks a bit wet and sloppy for the bin but will it block the sink?

Sorry to ask such a silly question but the wife isn't here to do it for me.

coffe grinds are good for unblocking sinks apparently. must be drain-fibre.

Wife puts them on the compost heap but the apartment doesn't have one. Didn't think chucking them out of the 2nd floor window would go down well with the people below.

Why on earth wouldn't you just put it in the bin, assuming there's a bag in it?

Because they empty the bins next Friday and i don't really want a week of 2 caffittieres a day worth of wet coffee grinds in the bin.

I really just wanted to be sure they wouldn't block the drains.

As mentioned earlier, check it down the bog. I made the mistake a few years ago of pouring it down the sink when I was staying with the old man. Woke up to some fairly colourful language and had to tread very carefully around him for the next couple of days (not easy in a one bedroom flat)!

Try using it as compost instead – when the ground defrosts – it's not too bad at all . . . . . .

Glen – do at home. A bit more difficult in a 2nd floor rented apartment that is only mine for 8 weeks

Go to a+e with them and claim you just threw them up and collapse. Should get you a bed for the night ( and a PR to boot!!)
