Hello I was just wondering if anyone has had any issues with their nukeproof scout 275 elite as mine has developed a creaking noise at the rear end it happens while pedalling as well as when I’m not pedalling but doesn’t creak when spinning the wheel on a workstand any ideas what could cause this ?

Sound travels though bike frames. Grease all the things…

    Spokes

    Nipples

    Rear Axle

    Mech Hanger

    Seatpost

    Saddle Rails

    Bottom Bracket

    Cranks

    Headset

A creak on my cotic Jeht was eventually traced to rear wheel bearing. Sounded awful, creaking and cracking whilst pedalling along, particularly spinning on an incline.

I’ve got the Comp (basic) version of the Scout 275 and I’ve had the same problems for 2 years now. It’s gone on so long as I got a gravel bike about the same time and fell in love with it over my hardtail.

I replaced the bottom bracket, headset and rear mech due to corrosion. I’ve then gone on the grease and tighten everything I understand can be the problem except the rear hub, which is where I think my issue finally is. As Richard notes above, I’ve got the exact same symptoms.
