My wife is after a new mountain bike to replace her ancient Klein. She doesn’t ride anything too severe – mainly local trails and occasionally the odd red run at Cardinham or Cannock. Budget of £700-£800. She’s 5’1″ and so needs a small frame, about 13″-14″ c-c seatpost. She was looking at a Cannondale but would prefer something a bit less mainstream really. All my bikes are steel so she’s comparing to them! Has anybody seen any nice ones about?
