Whats with the dreaded open hose/cable guides?

Mike – what’s the chance of a matching titanium model?

Fudge – materials (853) and geometry are the same as previous Alpines, but slightly longer top tubes and lower BBs.

Rik – Ti project is dead now. Sorry.

Chunky whats wrong with the guides?
Open Zip tie mounts for Brake Hose and closed thread through ones for full length cable outers. Works superbly on my PA 🙂

Mike cheers for that, this could be the perfect partner to my new bandit, now to work out how to smuggle it past my wife!

    Balls ……

Are you going to do a pre-order and what colours Mike? As they main thing I would like to add to my Mk1 (it was a prototype as I bought it off Tom off here) is a dropper post.

Mike – this might be a bit left field as a request but what are the chances of doing a 12mm by 135mm rear end? The benefit is the ability to swap wheels between bikes; I am not suggesting that it needs a 12mm through axle.

Ah I miss my old Alpine.
Super bike. Probably the most fun bike for just tooling about in the woods on I have ever had.

The arrival of a new Alpine is going to cause me all sorts of difficult decisions. I love my Mk1 and it fits me perfectly, but I also love the idea of one that will take the new generation of forks and a dropper seatpost. What to do eh???

that shiney one looks AMAZING. there is no way i could justify such shineyness as the parts i’d put on it are not shiney in any way. i recon i’d be scared to get it dirty

That looks awesome – would be great to see one as a raw frame! Wonder if it can take dropper posts (i.e. 30.9)?

What sizes are going to be available?

Please tell me there will be an XL!

I do find my L Bfe a bit small (its TT is 4 inches shorter than my Fs)

I got an email from Mike.

We’re about to start taking pre-orders on the new Alpine.

Full price will be £500. Pre-order price, £400. Deposit £200. Delivery around the end of August.

Looking forward to seeing the updated geometry… if it looks good for me I’ll be very tempted.
