Apparently my daily commute goes along part of the E15, who knew that them cheeky euro chaps renamed our roads and even put it into our satnavs.

Our car regularly switches it’s display into KM’s and also French.

    Maybe it’s homesick as it’s a Peugeot.

    I knew that.

We just choose not to acknowledge it, probably because there’s no real benefit since none of our roads continue across borders.

Every day’s a school day. I had no idea such a thing existed. I guess, as squirrelking points out, we don’t acknowledge it because it’s pointless “ because there’s no real benefit since none of our roads continue across borders.”

Although Wales and Scotland might have something to say about that…

    And then there’s Éire/Norn Iron…

Exactly – lots of our roads cross a border into the EU

That’s been a thing for years. I live about a km from the E45, which i can follow either to Norway or Sicily…

The old mapping programs were amusing, printing off directions to one of our “local” ski resorts. Turn right at the end of the road, turn left at the roundabout, drive for 630 km, your destination is on the left.

Looks like a fun route… assuming you can get someone else to drive the shitty bits in the South of England:
