oh yeah and before anyone says the chain is rusty, its dirt, and a bit of rust :P... new one is in the post 😆
i wish i had the money for a bike like that buts i must say its very nice
s'alright. Looks a bit cheap and tacky
Did you get the stand with the frame, or was that extra? 😆
For a Mojo (which is not a handsome bike) that looks pretty good. I hate the look of that front mudguard thing though.
are bears sweet? Gummi bears?
nah, paid extra for it cos i didn't think i'd spent enough 8)
gummi beas are definately sweet
not about looks, its bout keeping the sh1t out of ur face... does look better than a crud catcher tho
Looks fine apart from the price tag-like mudguard thingy. Not sure about the blue bits though, black for me. Enjoy riding her hard and often!
Nice.
I reckon it deserves some better tyres than that though...
Looks nice. Just think you need more hoses round the bars though.
mm bit of a dogs dinner going on at the front agree
I have the same problem with Santa Cruz frames, in that the rear brake guides are on the wrong side of the top tube, so you have no choice other than do an extra wiggle.
Need to do something about the wrought iron work though!
Looks a bit rough IMO
Looks very nice indeed.
Don't think i would be complaining 😉
Enjoy 😀
Top bike and your build is looking good. What are your thoughts on it so far?I built mine up last week just in time for the weekend and I am very impressed so far.
looks shit!
Only joking - would sell a kidney for that
Nice car-park/patio battleship!
what are all the cables for?
thats a nice bike fella. now you have ridden it you can go back and sort those cables out properly! i would have gone for black kit myself, would look proper stealth, possibly with a little bit of silver too.
needs a DT Swiss or Pace fork...
piha - its awesome, only had it out 3 times, but i totally love it, can't wait to get it somewhere a bit more rough.
amedias - agreed re: the swiss fork..
slowrider - nah, love the blue, always been a bit of a theme on my bounce bikes, cables could do with shortening I agree, just waiting on the correct ones to come in stock.
Fortunateson09 - nothing wrong with the tyres, fits my winter riding to the T
racing_ralph - rear mech, front mech, front brake, rear brake and pushloc for the forks (want rid of that one though...)
Very similar to my build.
I too have only rode 'her' 4 times now but the bike is amazing- I thought my orange 5 AM(with 36's) descended well but it felt dead in comparison to my SL. The 5 rear was over-damped and the 36's felt un plush in comparison.
I can't explain how much I think it is worth the money it's just great - I've got 2010 rev team forks on mine and I don't ever adjust from 150mm as it climbs great.
I just can't bring mysf to cover in heli-tape!
Thats one sweet looking bike.Love the blue detail but please sort that cabling out.Whats she weigh.
to be honest, i havn't adjusted the forks on it from 140mm.
not weighed her yet, but so much lighter than my Kona was.
had to put a few patches on to prevent some cable rub, but got carbon ones so kinda blend in..
Frame and forks don't match and the blue bits look a bit chav..
But it's still a nice bike. If it were my build though i'd have floats and xtr cranks and maybe stan's flow rims on hope hubs.
You might like a bit of tack? are you a darts player?
great bike, enjoy it !
have fallen out with 32 floats, and don't really fancy putting 36's on it, as much as i'd like to, but i don't think the extra weight is worth it for what i'm using it for mostly.
love the blue bits, trying to get some blue DT decals made for them and RS ones for the forks atm..
first thoughts " that bike looks awefull"
Can I ask you with whom or how you have insured it, as M & S, Aviva etc aren't keen to insure me? My email is in my profile if you prefer to use that.
I insured similar one through Halifax home contents insurance and they do at home and away for named items so if its nicked from somewhere else its covered 100% replacement cost first 3 years.
Gratuitous tights and top shocker - reported 😈
lovely, you've got an inner tube wrapped round your forks though
Is it just the pic or is there hardly any post showing? What size is it?
its a 19", dropped the seat post cos was d**king bout on it round the yard.
seems a lot of people don't like the neoguard...
People don't like mudguards full stop, but I use them coz it stops me covered in shit, whatever works for you IMO 🙂
dreednya
looks nice matey, personal choice, but i'd go for (and i have) black forks...
what is ur blue integrated headset? where from?
sorted out metallic blue decals for the forks and wheels now, to match the hubs and links... 🙂
Rich bar-stewards. 🙂
Effing gorgeous, especially the OP's.
Bloody love it.
One day...
BMC09 - Headset is a Cane Creek IS110 - can't fault it so far. Think I got it off CRC as my LBS had a problem sourcing one in time
cool, min'es got the Cane Creek IS-8 carbon one on, matches the frame nicely, but i do like blue... 😛
Came from a Heckler, which I broke [cracked the downtube all the way round 🙁 ] so simply transferred most of the parts over to the IBIS, apart from the headset and front mech. So not too costly especially if you have an account in your LBS and pay by installments :).
As for the fork colour - I really like the feel of Manitou forks over Rockshock or Fox, so with the Absolute + damper upgrade in the 140 mm thru-axle 2010 model being white, I did not really have any other option.
Also the Steve Peat front fender really accentuates the curves of the IBIS frame and works better IMO than the neoguard I ran on it before.
u'll all be happy to know that there is nw a shiny new chain and a degreased / cleaned cassette, looking very shiny on it..
