The publisher request is:
We’ve got two exciting new MTB books lined up to publish in late 2024 and early 2025 and we’re looking to fill some photography gaps. If you think you might have anything, please do drop us a line at photo@v-publishing.co.uk
We are paying for photos, and you’ll get a copy of the book too.
Book 1
We’re looking for a mix of vertical/portrait and horizontal/landscape format photos of purpose-built trails in England, Wales and Northern Ireland which we’ll use in a range of sizes. (We’re already sorted for Scotland photos.)These are some of the gaps we’d like to fill:
Surrey Hills: Leith Hill (Summer Lightning)
Bedgebury
Lee Valley
Aston Hill
Woburn Sands
Chicksands
Chacewood Bike Park
Bike Park Kernow
Wind Hill
Bristol Trails (Ashton Court, Leigh Woods etc.)
Northampton Bike Park
Phoenix Bike Park

Any Northern Ireland trails (e.g. Blessingbourne, Davagh, Rostrevor, Castlewellan)
Book 2
We’re primarily looking for vertical/portrait-format photos to print full page showing some of the best natural trails in England, Scotland and Wales. We’ll also run a small number of photos smaller, and these will be a mix of vertical/portrait and horizontal/landscape format. While this is an MTB book, some of the photos we’ll use won’t feature bikes at all – just the trail and the landscape. Worth thinking about if you’ve got a nice shot, but it doesn’t feature a bike/rider.
These are some of the gaps we’d like to fill:
Bowerman’s Nose/Hayne Down, Dartmoor
Nutcrackers, Lustleigh Cleave, Dartmoor
Hawkcombe Head, Exmoor
Quantocks: Smith’s Combe, Stert Combe, Weacombe, Lady’s Edge (climb)
Trail above Cheddar Gorge, to the south
Trail below Nine Barrow Down, Purbecks
Peckett Well (either descent), Hebden Bridge
High Brown Knoll, above Hebden Bridge
