Takes a look out of bedroom window at Sussex South Downs. South Downs not visible due to ground level mizzle

I’m heading down to the Lakes for a few days at the end of next week. I’d greatly appreciate it if you could usher her up that way.  Even just for the weekend?

She’s here in East Shrops this morning, but I’m not convinced that’s going to last once I put the washing out.

Re-reading LOTR now and always wonder if Jo Burt took inspiration from Goldberry for Summer.

Spotted briefly in east mids this morning whilst I top coated a nice old bench. Then she legged it as the rain came in.
On average the forecast (cloudy all day) was correct.

She was at Dyfi bike park last Friday, but I haven’t seen her since, back in Leeds now.

I’m doing a long ride tomorrow. It’s a semi-regular thing that we do in the summer because of the long daylight hours and dry conditions make more for a more pleasant trip.

One of two requirements met. ☹️

Haha fair enough, it’s easy to see similarities if you go looking for them in anything I guess.

Always loved the stories (cartoons doesn’t quite do it) with her in, Peep show being my favourite which I had on my office wall for a while when we were allowed such things and I was asked more than once what it meant but couldn’t really get them to understand.

She’s here in Crete with me, 20:00 now,27 degrees, sun slipping below the horizon, gentle breeze, beer, olives, cheese and bread. If that’s not summer don’t know what is.

Sisi, east of Malia, first time for us. Lovely little village. Temps have been low thirties and clear skies. Seen a few mad roadies out in the mountains where it’s still 30 plus.

I wish it was only 27 here in Athens. High of 37 today but tonight is the first night it’s dropped below 30 before midnight.

I was paddle boarding in peeblesin ashorts and tshirt with frequent falls today* I don’t know what you are complaining about.

Anyone care to explain why she is reading surrender to pink?

*Falls related to testing the limits rather than lack of skill.

It is indeed, stayed there a few years back. It’d be better if it had a beach rather than swimming in the harbour, but there’s enough nice ones nearby if you have a car. Enjoy.

Harbours not bad for swimming, sheltered and lots of fish. Been over to Plaka today opposite Spinalonga, nice beach, less fish though. Heading home tomorrow night so expecting weather shock when we deplane at 01:40 in Manchester on Monday morning.

I’ve found her.. She’s been in south west Ireland with us for the last few days.
This today – 23*c at Barley Cove/ Mizen Head.

Mmm 35°c  here(Spain), I don’t mind it but it’s no good for riding or doing stuff outside.

Probably more fun sat around the pool sipping daiquiris and watching herds of wilder-beast sweeping across the plain 🙂

@ matt_outandabout – Joey, my late partner, lived in Schull for around 15 years, and she loved it there, used to talk about Mizen Head. I can see why, it’s a lovely place. ?

    @CountZero

We’re having a fabulous time. Loving Beara. Ace day out to Skellig Michael.
    Summer is here…

My sister in law’s family are all from Schull a couple of generations back – just getting to the ‘between the famines, very few detailed records made, and those which exist have not been digitised’ stage of genealogy.

Seems one side of my family is also from around Lough Ree area, but there’s no records other thant great gran being a refugee with parents to Wales in the last famine.
