My OH needs some new shorts but being 6ft3 he tends to find a lot of shorts are too short and he has the annoying kneepad gap. Can any gentlemen of the forum recommend some of longer length?

The eldest is similarly lanky and likes the Norrona Fjora Flex1 shorts. I have the same, but the shorter one as I’m a short-ass.

I’m a lanky 6’2, currently got some endura singletrack and mt500 from sport pursuit for a 30″ waist, they both fit good. Always wore raceface ambush shorts before these but don’t seem to be able to find them at a reasonable price anymore.

Similar Issues here at 6’3 and slim. The current best for me are Fox Defend. Endura Burner also reasonable too. I find the Endura singletrack and their other shorts are a normally a bit short for me.

Madison Zeniths – they are not only really good shorts, they are almost a 3/4 length which is great in Winter and no enduro-pad-gap!

6’3 here with 32″ waist. I wear 3/4 length Enduras to solve this issue!

If you search long enough you can find inseams for some brands.  I tend to look for the DH stuff.

just bought some ion scrub from sport pursuit that are a decent length.

The problem I had with the Madison Zeniths was they were very baggy in the arse and crotch.

    Same problem with Fendra

Ion ok. They used to offer a long length, but not anymore.

Mons Royale look long on the web, but they use short models.

Dirtj fit nice, but very heavy fabric

Endura fit ok, but don’t like the fabric/finish

Still looking for my goldilocks pair

I asked a similar question a few weeks ago and got some TLD Flowline shorts. For my son with a 28″ waist and 6ft.

6″4 and a pair of Scott shorts and a pair of specialized have been going strong for me for ages

I’ve mostly solved short shorts by wearing trousers for most every MTB ride in the last 3 years.

6’4″ here. I prefer my shorts to sit just above the knee and I find Endura Humvee shorts to be perfect for that. However, I wear a much larger size than your fella will need. I’ve found Pearl Izumi shorts to be quite a bit longer than Endura though.

Just checked the inseam of a few pairs.  I think “most” shorts in a medium have a 14″ inseam.

Fox usually have one in the range thats 15.  Some years back it was the FlexAir then I bought a new pair without checking and it wasn’t.  Then it was the Defend.

The Ion Scrub shorts I mentioned above are 15.

(I got some Pearl Izumi a little while back and they’re 14.  It’s model not brand you need to look at. )
