    Hey,

I’ve got a set of Mavic wheels with the 360 / star ratchet hub. The outboard bearings have play, but I can’t access them.

Has anyone serviced theirs? The end of the freehub has a circular cover, which needs a ‘special’ tool. Which is 60 quid!

Anyone found another way to undo the freehub?

    Cheers

    Ricks

I’m pretty wure I managed to completely strip my Mavic ITS 360 rear hub with nothing but some circlip pliers…?

You can normally get the end cap off with a pair of 90* circlip pliers. (not saying its the right thing to do, but it normally works with some care)

Awesome. Well, I’ll give it a go. I’ve tried with some circlip pliers – but did give up.

It’s 35 quid for a brand new hub, or 60 for the tool! It’s crazy.
