Marz 44 RLO or LO?

32mm Al stanchions available in 100/120/140mm travel Disc and V mounts Air sprung…

Pretty much the MX with a face lift and an extra 2mm of stanchion/140mm travel option if you really want…

Most people will pass them by as you can pay a small fortune for the “RC3 Ti” version…

a nail, rattling inside an old rusty pipe, welded to a scaffold bar…

Marz 44 RLO or LO?

IMHO I don’t think SunTour’s lockout cartridge is very good or reliable. And I’m not sure the build quality ever recovered to Italian standards since the move to the Orient.

44 RLOs have been a great fork for me other than the horrible top-out bang that comes with them – Windwave claim it’s just the way the fork is but I suspect it’s more to do with questionable build quality and them not wanting to fix under warranty. Shame as otherwise they’re ace.

Try heavier weight oil, more oil or less rebound if there topping out. If you want some reliable forks get some more MX comps or some other old style marzocchis. Avoid rock shox and fox as they need servicing regularly.

I would’nt touch anything that has to go back to windwave.
My rebound died after one day of mincing round a trail centre last summer.
That was 44’s.
Windwave took chuffing ages to get them turned around.
Lifes too short.

The suggestions of second hand mx comps are not that crazy.
Plenty of new old stock around if you look hard enough as well.

I’ve got some MX Comps on the Wifes museum piece Spesh Hardrock that I built her & that She hasn’t been ridden since. They are hardy used. They can be set at 120mm travel also.

I do prefer Rockshox forks though.
