I’m looking at a new Rocky Ridge to keep up with my mates who’ve all gone a bit freeride of late, but I’m not sure of the sizing.

I was inclined towards a medium because i want it small and chuckable etc, but wondered if the large would be better at speed?

What size do other almost-six-footers have?

    Cheers

I have an 05 in medium and I’m just over 6′. Use it for a bit of everything, but for longer rides (over 20 miles) I’d like a longer top tube.
    Hope that helps.

6ft 1in on a large, no complaints here. Have you no way of swinging your leg over the two sizes?

    Cheers guys.

Although one of the first rides I’ll be doing on it is a long-ish affair with a full backpack, I’ll normally just be playing on it, i’ve got a full on XC hardtail to do longer days on normally.

I can get a short pavement test ride on both sizes, just hard to guage much from sprinting up and down on the pavement.

So i guess i just want to avoid getting a bike which is too small for messing about on downhill trails and jumpy stuff.
