Need to bleed the brakes, Magura site says royal blood is transmission medium low viscosity mineral oil.
I am thinking it may be cheaper to buy a bottle of transmission type oil from a car type shop rather than a tiny bottle from a bike shop.
if so is there a brand and type i should get or am i better just to get the proper magura stuff?

my lbs stocks big bottles of cheap mineral oil.

probably get even better vfm if you use a car place. Ive noticed no problems with using non ‘royal blood’ or even from mixing different oils.

Shimano mineral oil worked fine for my Martas and Louise brakes. You can get a big bottle (around 1L) from Wiggle for around £13-15 and it will last for ages.

LHM mineral oil from Halfrauds – about £6 / litre. Been using it in Magura clutches on KTM motorbikes for years without a problem
