Any recommendations for a good bike shop in central London other than Evans? Have a mate who needs CX & MTB serviced. After a honest shop, that won’t take the piss. Thanks Aj.

Action Bikes. The one near me has given me loads of freebies and the mechanic is happy to show me how to do things too. It’s always gonna depend on the shop manager though. When you do pay, they are just as pricey as everyone else.

My picks;
Cycle Surgery Victoria – My local, and superb spannerwranglers.
CS Holborn – Karl is a legend with a spanner in hand.
Brixton – Lovely people, great workshop.
Condor – Not really for the MTB scene, but very good for the CX.

Mosquito Bikes for added bike pron.

Cycle Surgery isn’t bad; I’ve found for buying stuff they’re not v cheap, but they are friendly and know a little.
Evans is almost the exact opposite – can get some awesome deals on bikes, but the staff generally couldn’t give a monkey’s.
On Your Bike is good, I found, if you’re in London Bridge. When I went there regularly they didn’t seem to sell Specialized stuff though. Wonder if they ever sold that Pace FS frame…

They did. I helped by steering someone on RB towards it. The build was, to put it mildly…..STUNNING! Will try and find a pic.
