Went to Llandegla last weekend and really enjoyed the place. Rode the Red and the Blue a few times on the Saturday, played on the jumps at the Skills area by the car park and then did the Red and Blacks on the Sunday followed by the jumps again. Lovely place, would highly recommend it to anyone. Although the only food they were serving (apart from breakfast) was a rather expensive BBQ (No sausages!) which didn’t leave much variety.

Just a quick question. Is it possible to ride the main Black route and then skip the long Red slog uphill back to the visitor centre? (shortcuts along fire roads/main road??)
And is there a way to ride B Line without having to do the long uphill parts?
I don’t mind doing them once in a day, but it was a long slog to do the 2nd time on Sunday afternoon. It would have been nice to skip it and just have a blast on the Black DH parts the second time around.

A big thanks to the guy on the Commencal who picked up the Missus’ Oakleys that she dropped.

Yes where the black rejoins the red it also bisects Offa’s Dyke path which is a bridleway thru the forest so all you do is ride up that to where it bisects the blue route and onto that or if you had carried on along the red to where the drop with the big rock is there is a trail that goes straight on which was the old red route now remarked as blue.

I did it last Friday for the first time too. Did the black twice, and also wondered if there was a cut through as we fancied a third go but didn’t have time… And the legs were starting to give up (them hills are big man – similar distance and climbing than Cannock, but done in fewer bigger climbs), so we’ll look out for that cut through next time. We loved the length of the runs and their jumpy nature. We had a brilliant day, the trail was excellent and the weather was the icing on the cake.
