List five things that make you happy…

There’s too much misery around at the moment so let’s list the things that make us happy.
I’ll go first 🙂

1. Riding my bikes
2. Being out on a cold crisp winter’s day
3. Yoga
4. Summer weekends
5. Great sex

Cycling of any form
Fast technical single track
Waking up in a non tired state
Getting off an oil rig
Fannyng around in and around old land rovers

In no particular order:

Snowboarding
Schnulle
Yoga
Palace winning away at Old Trafford
Meeting up with old mates for (early) Xmas drinks

1) My wife
2) my cat sat next to me, leaning on me, purring. He doesn’t do the ‘sit on the human’ thing
3) playing live and having people enjoy it
4) Leeds Utd winning a game
5) Man Utd losing a game* 😉

* <edit> ok it doesn’t happen as often as #4 but still…

can I have a #6? Leeds Utd winning the same game that Man Utd lose?

I like it when my commute in to work goes really well.

1. Being able to see.
2. Being out in the forest. Whether I am cycling, climbing or puking up the wrong berries.
3. Crying babies. (I am a neonatal nurse. It’s comforting)
4. Bachata dancing.
5. The sounds of soul in a persons song.

Racing, specifically motorbikes

no order but as i thought of them

new socks, lovely feeling
pottering in my shed
surprising my wife with a gift or action
kids playing and all associated noise thats goes with it
roast beef, yorkshires and all the trimmings

1, my wife. (though this can change very quickly depending on her mood)
2, my kids all playing together
3, getting up before everyone else at the weekend and having a cup of tea, the TV and iPad to myself
4, being out on the downs on a warm day with the dog and just sitting and watching traffic from up high on a hill
5, the feeling of being out on a ride when I thought I can’t be bothered to go out, but forced myself to go. Those rides always seem so much sweeter.

3/ The feel of freshly laundered bedding on that first night – I always think it makes me sleep better

A long soak in the bath

Following my son down a trail, watching him go sideways round corners and big over jumps. This is awesome.

Waking up to a sunny morning

Meeting up with friends I haven’t seen in years

Affection, giving and receiving
Encouraging and seeing people achieve things they didn’t think they could
Riding my bike well
Blizzards, fresh powder snow and the anticipation of snowboarding it
Just begin out in the hills/mountains/forests, having a little adventure

chilling/drinking with my mates
riding/being around bikes
being with Mrs 1111 (not all the time)
pat on the back from the boss (once in a while)
playing with my dog.

there are loads more things but there the best i could come up with.

my girlfriend.
family and friends.
riding bikes in the summer with good friends.
cooking, specifically making vegan food for other people and always getting great feedback for it somehow!
being alive, healthy and (reasonably) fit 8 years after surviving heart failure.
