- Like a Santa Cruz 5010 but not?
The problem there is a heap of beautiful bikes get snapped with poor camera’s or the camera hasn’t been used correctly for the purpose. Even with a distorsiontastic lens on a camera, stepping back a few dozen feet and zooming in will give us better images of what a bike should look like. Distortion can put folk off a bike so I never go by pics these days. Got to see them in the flesh.
The headtube of the Pyga is 1/2 a degree steeper than a 5010 and 70 degree in the seat post with the 5010 73.Posted 3 years agotomhowardSubscriber
XL 5010? I’m the same height as you and ride a large, I find it has plenty of room up front with a 70 mm stem, more than the nomad with a 50mm (nomad has a longer tt) but of I’d had wanted more reach then the stand over of the xl wouldn’t have been an issue. Have you tried them?Posted 3 years agoceepersSubscriber
Really loving mine so far!
Solo was on my list but decided I couldn’t justify another £300 on the build for it to be a Santa Cruz
Honestly I think climbing ability is more about how fit you are than the bike anyway, when I demoed the transitions I beat most of my soul climbing pr’s on the demo loop on a covert as well. Hadn’t been there on the soul for ages and extra fitness was the difference.Posted 3 years agostinkingdylanMember
