Can you ID each of the yellow things? I think I can see two fish, two sausages and five onion rings plus the aforementioned chips, but what else lies beneath the beautifully crisp and delicate batter? Or am I better off not knowing?

Scallops. Are you a heathen of some sort?

Thats potato in batter fried and served with other naturalist potatoes. Also fried.

It looks like there are some fritter type things and perhaps some sheep’s testicles (ah, could be scampi). Batter looks a bit anaemic to me.

    Scallops are good though.

Pretty sure there’s a mock chop in there as well.

That’s a paltry effort  for a munchy box.

The 16 inch tandoori munchy box from the Snappy Chapati makes that look like a child’s packed lunch

Our chippy does proper onion rings, they’re gorgeous, but they’re incapable of doing a half portion (i.e. would only feed a family of five…) and when I last asked they actually gave me such a massive portion they couldn’t close the box, funny how they still managed to do it passive aggressively 😆

That’s a ridiculous amount of chips, says Britain

    Looks shite.

Perchy has this wrapped up. A munch box does NOT come from a chippy.

In the centre – burgers – possibly ‘cheeseburgers’ which have the cheese in the middle of the burger – then lockwise from top left

    Sausages,

    two bits of pizza

    pituitary glands

    fish

    a bollock

    two scallops / fritters

    shower curtain rings.

Our chippy does proper onion rings,

thats the chipshop litmus test for me – nothing says ‘can’t be bothered’ like serving cash and carry onion rings when dipping things in batter is pretty much your only job.

a pizza crunch from the chip shop in Rothesay….. Battered deep fried margarita. The Triple grill on the sea front does a great hoagy.  DOnner meat,  cheesy chips,  chicken kebab and more cheesy chips,  plus a smattering of veg pakora,  garlic mayo and chilli sauce wrapped in a chappati. Pure pisshead fodder.

Based on RAL charts the yellow things would actually be orange things if it weren’t for the actual bright orange thing which presumably has its own RAL entry.

Nope. A deep fried pizza is a pizza deep-fried. What you have there is a pizza crunch which is a pizza dipped in batter THEN deep fried.
