Not to derail the thread but he was. He was an absolute liability. Always doing stuff he was explicitly told not to do, risking his safety and the Octonauts’ gear and requiring others to risk their lives to rescue him. And not really actually doing anything of use. Definitely not First Mate material I’ve no idea how he got appointed.

There might be an analogy with his namesake there, but I can’t be bothered to work it out.

He’s definitely had enough of experts. Having sacked his on Day 1. As for qualifications, he’s going to find that his exploits will be part of the History of Economics he has a PhD in.
