Was going to post a thread yesterday about a particular bird of prey in garden too.
But mine is lot smaller because it is Sparrowhawk.
I was checking my car in the courtyard when heard some birds “fighting” but never gave notice because plenty of wood pigeons and magpies around in my areas … by the time I noticed one bird being pinned down I looked closer only to identify it as a bird of prey and a pretty small one. The prey was apparently a small juvenile wood pigeon (looked like wood pigeon anyway). It was plucking away it’s feathers and later on tearing flesh from its back …
Searched the net and it has been identified as a Sparrowhawk … beautiful bird.
