Yeah, Mrs a11y was telling me about the shitstorm on social media around Helston about Flambards selling off their major rides. Kind of kills the idea of visiting Flambards again when we’re next there.
Yeah. It was a “safe” site for the kids when they were early teens. We could let them do their own thing whist we sat on a bench shivering for 12 hours.
Always avoided Flambards. Not my cup of tea. Shame it struggling though, jobs and income would be missed I suppose. Air day at RNAS Culdrose always a good day out if you like that sort of thing.
Yep. Back in the evening to watch the Cornish Robbie Williams, while my lad went on the “Chunderbolt” non stop for 3 hours.
The Victorian village was ok as you knew that there were aeroplanes at the end. I almost shit with disappointment when I found that the cockpit of the Shackleton was closed off on our last visit. I was 52 BTW.
Flambards: the only theme park where you can reguritate up a half-decent cornish pasty.

That ride nearly ended me. Multiple consecutive times in a row without a queue forced me to have a little lie down for a while afterwards. The mini-a11ys continued to loop it time after time after time…
FWIW I actually prefer Marazion in high season – more stuff’s open, you can enjoy the sea more, and there’s usually a small selection of motorcycles to look at either cruising through or parked up at the cafe down the beach towards Newlyn.
And also Newlyn is nearby for your fish, or at least whatever’s available after Brexit and lockdown which I think did for the ice cream shop 🙁
