Just popped outside and there’s no sign yet in Aberdeenshire.

Very likely. Already reports in Northumberland, heating North again so hope to see them in a bit.

Just headed out in deepest fife – the fog means there’s too much light pollution from the blood moon, and Kelty!

Well, I stand corrected. But unable to see anything my way, too hazy.

Having been out to Sweden and Finland many times and never seen it my alarm is set for 0330, but Aurora watch looks quiet.

I’ve seen photos tonight from Northumberland, Aberdeenshire (Bennachie + Stonehaven) and Shetland, and heard report of some showing near Dunbar.

Is it nice and clear down there Mr Scotroutes? Was thinking about driving to Moy area to get out of the fog.

Not much to be seen around Alnwick earlier the moon is a bit too bright so just a green haze.

Why go to Finland when Northumberland National Park has dark sky status?

Too much low mist and general haziness – even from 615m above sea level. Lovely, calm night though. Wish I was bivvying.
